Selecting Table Display Settings
To open the Table display settings dialog, do one of the following:
- Click Table options
> Table display settings. - Select View menu > Table options > Table display settings.
Rows/Columns per page
- Select the maximum number of rows and columns that can appear on a Perspective page. If the number of rows or columns is too large to fit on your computer screen, scrolling will be provided within the page.
Include current date and time
- If selected, the current date and time appear as a subtitle in tables and charts.
Fixed headers on scrolling
- If selected, headers are "frozen." Fixed headers always remain visible when you scroll your data.
Maximum length of labels
- Enter a maximum length, if desired. This specifies a maximum number of characters for row and column labels. Headers will be truncated to the desired length and any missing parts will be replaced with an ellipsis (...). You can still read the entire header in a tooltip by hovering over it with your mouse.
Note: If column nesting is in effect, the label for the outermost (top) column dimension will not be truncated.
Label wrapping
- If selected, long labels will wrap to the next line. (Very long labels can make columns too wide. This can prevent much data from being displayed on screen.)
Note: If this option is selected, you cannot also select "Fixed headers on scrolling."
Show slicer area in one line
- If selected, all slicer dimension tiles display side by side in the slicer area. Scrolling may be required to see them all. Otherwise slicer dimensions stack as required to fit in the current window.
